  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 2 pcs boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 tbsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tbsp ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated, plus additional for serving
  • 1 cup halved cherry tomatoes
  •  1 pack of dry penne pasta noodles
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnishing


  1. Heat a large pot of water to a boil, then season with salt to taste. Cook the pasta according to package directions; drain well.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.
  3. Season the chicken in the pan with garlic, salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Saute for 3-4 minutes per side and until golden brown and thoroughly cooked.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the chicken; pesto, heavy cream and parmesan cheese.
  6. Bring the pesto sauce, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese to a boil and cook until the sauce has reduced about 5-7 minutes.
  7. Toss the pesto sauce with the cooked pasta and cherry tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper according to your taste preference. 
  8. Top with fresh basil and/or parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve right away.
